Have You Experienced These Frustrations?

A candid portrait of a nurse writing down what her patient says

You’re on a call with a client, a patient, or a colleague.
You explain something clearly. You know your words are right.

But there’s that pause.
“Sorry, can you say that again?”

It’s frustrating, because your English is strong. But certain French sound patterns, the missing “h,” the “th” turning into “z,” the rhythm and vowels, can make things harder to catch.

And those small things add up.
They affect how easily people understand you and how confidently you come across.

The Hidden Cost of the World's "Most Pleasant" Accent

French speakers are often seen as articulate, sophisticated, and highly educated. But even then, small pronunciation patterns can create friction.

In business, tech, academia, and client-facing roles, that friction affects how easily people follow you and how clearly your ideas land.

And then there’s the mental side, constantly thinking about pronunciation while trying to focus on the actual conversation.

It’s subtle.
But it affects communication more than it should.

Clear pronunciation ensures your audience processes your ideas, not your accent.

What Accent Coaching Actually Means for French Speakers

This isn’t about erasing your accent or pretending you’re not French.
Your accent is part of your story.

What we’re doing is practical.
We identify the specific sound patterns that create friction and retrain them.

The “th” that becomes “z.”
The missing “h.”
The vowels and rhythm patterns that make English harder to follow.

You already have the vocabulary, grammar, and ideas.
We just refine the delivery so your English sounds as clear and polished as your thinking.

Because most French-speaking professionals don’t want to “sound American.”
They want to be understood clearly the first time.

In meetings. On calls. In presentations.
So their expertise comes through the way it should.

The Science Behind Your French Accent

Your accent isn’t a flaw. It’s a pattern.
A predictable, explainable pattern.

French has a very different sound system from English. So when you speak English, your brain naturally defaults to the closest sounds it already knows.

That’s why certain patterns show up:

“Th” often becomes “z” or “s.”
“The” → “ze.” “Think” → “sink.”

The “h” disappears.
“Hello” → “ello.” “Have” → “ave.”

Some English sounds shift toward French ones.
“Job” can sound like “zhob.” “Cheese” more like “sheese.”

English vowels can also sound flatter because French vowels don’t glide the same way English vowels do.

And then there’s rhythm.
English relies heavily on stress and contrast. French is more even and phrase-based, so English can sound flatter or more sing-song than intended.

None of this is random.
And none of it is permanent.

These are learned speech patterns.
And with the right training, they can be retrained.

The Intonetic Method for French Speakers

1

Identify the Sounds that Hold You Back

We start with a detailed assessment of your pronunciation patterns.
Not a generic list of “French accent problems.”

Your actual speech.

A speaker from Paris may sound different from someone from Quebec, Belgium, Switzerland, or Francophone Africa. Your background, experience with English, and work context all shape what we focus on.

2

Create a Personalized Plan

Based on your assessment, we build a focused plan around the changes that will make the biggest difference, fastest.

For most French speakers, that means “th” sounds, the missing “h,” vowel movement, rhythm, and stress patterns that create the most friction.

We focus on the 20% of changes that create 80% of the clarity.
No wasted time on things you already do well.

3

Build New Muscle Memory

Your accent lives in your muscles, not your brain.
You already know how English should sound.

The gap is between hearing it and producing it.

Through targeted drills, real-time feedback, and consistent repetition, we retrain those patterns so clear pronunciation becomes automatic.

I've Helped Many French-Speaking Professionals Over The Last 10 Years

I’ve worked with French speakers from across the Francophone world. Executives at luxury and fashion houses. Consultants at global firms. Engineers at European and American tech companies. Diplomats and international organization professionals. Researchers and professors. Entrepreneurs scaling businesses into English-speaking markets. Professionals from Paris, Lyon, Geneva, Brussels, Montreal, Dakar, and beyond.

I know that the “th/ze” and dropped “h” are the patterns everyone notices, but that the diphthong flatness and rhythm architecture are often what make the biggest overall difference. And I know how to get you from “people enjoy my accent but miss my points” to “people hear every word and focus on my ideas” in the shortest time possible.

This isn’t a generic accent class. It’s a system built on 10+ years of working with people who sound exactly like you do right now… and who now sound exactly the way they want to.

Don't take my word for it!
